Susan Sakmar is the former Chair of the Jane Goodall Institute and author of the award-winning novel ‘Energy for the 21st-Century: Opportunities and Challenges for LNG’.As a visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Houston Law Center, Susan developed and teaches a seminar that focuses on regulatory and environmental issues for global shale gas development and LNG project development. She is a member of the State Bar of California with over 20 years of experience working in a variety of legal, corporate and non-profit environments, including as an attorney in the commercial litigation department of a major San Francisco law firm and an accountant for Chevron.

For the final episode of ‘An Emerging Energy Framework for the 22nd– Century’, Todd Buchholz welcomes “America’s most influential energy pundit”, Dr. Daniel Yergin, Vice-Chair of IHS Markit, to the podcast.

Daniel Yergin is a highly-respected authority on energy, international politics, and economics, and a Pulitzer Prize winner.  He is Vice Chairman of IHS Markit, a leading information and advisory firm with 16,000 employees worldwide and chairman of IHS Markit’s CERAWeek conference, which CNBC has called “the Super Bowl of energy”.
